Holy Transfiguration Chapel can serve you and other Orthodox Christians visiting the area as your "home away from home!"
Always open, the Chapel is available day and night. Many visitors and others have found the Chapel to be a special place
"apart," dropping in to pray, light a candle, attend a Service, or just to be quiet before God. Additionally, the
visitor finds an extensive lending library and informative tracts.
Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Chapel welcomes you and exists to serve all Orthodox Christians and other visitors. Worship
services and the ministrations of a priest are provided through the direction of His Eminence, Archbishop JOB, of Chicago
and the Diocese of the Midwest, Orthodox Church in America.
The Chapel is a functioning part of the St. Matthew Orthodox Church of Green Bay, Wisconsin, the nearest Orthodox parish,
and is served and maintained by Reader and architect George ("Pat") Mangan, A.I.A, a long-time resident of Sister
Bay, who designed and built the Chapel on his property as an outpost of Orthodoxy in Door County. It is located in the woods
at 912 N. Bay Shore Drive (Hwy 42) in Sister Bay, (two houses North of the intersection of N. Bay Shore Dr. and Scandia Rd.—for

Father Michael can be reached at (920) 265-0232, (920) 432-0840, or mdherr@sbcglobal.net. Contact information for Father
John and the Reader George are listed elsewhere on this web page.
