We will host a Nativity retreat at the Church
on Dec. 13-14 with Fr Andrew Morbey of Minneapolis. More info will be forthcoming but mark your calendars for this weekend.
We have a class or study group that meets on Wednesday evening following Vespers.
This year we will be reading the book "The Hidden Man of the Heart: The Cultivation of the Heart in Orthodox Christian Anthropology"
by Archimandrite Zacharias (Zacharou). The author is a monk-priest of the Monastery of St John the Baptist in Essex, England,
and a disciple of Elder Sophrony, who in turn was a disciple of St Silouan. This new book (which is based on lectures given
to the Orthodox Clergy Brotherhood in 2007 in Wichita, Kansas) is a terrific guide to the spiritual life and is a beautiful
example of the living Orthodox tradition.
